Guitarist/bassist/composer Mike Holstein is one of the most sought after musicians in the Southeast. An avid composer, Mike was one of the founding members of the Jazz Composers Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation and documentation of original, instrumental jazz. As a mainstay in the Forum, he has presented his own music multiple times as leader and in the capacity of ‘Composer-in-Residence’. In 2004, Mike became a member of the band Cotangent, a New York based group led by pianist/composer Bill Gerhardt. He has played on two recordings with the band, Stained Glass and Thrive. He also appears on drummer Tony Moreno’s Trio Music. He has performed with Joe Locke, Ingrid Jensen, Randy Brecker, Frank Kimbrough, John Faddis, Kendra Shank, Ron Horton, Marc Mommaas and Tim Horner among others. Mike is in great demand as both a bassist and guitarist. The “Wheel Sessions” is a jazz performance series hosted in Greenville South Carolina. Performances begin at 7:30 pm, and are held in front of an intimate listening audience. Attendees may BYOB.

Directions: When arriving at the location, drive to the parking lot all the way behind the facility. Enter at the double doors and come to the Fellowship Hall.
